Properly maintained wheels and tires allow your Volkswagen to continue driving smooth and driving safely. It would help if you inspected your tires at least once a month to address any issues before they become costly repairs.
Tire treads can influence many different parts of your vehicle. Uneven or excessive wear can cause your alignment to become uneven and negatively affect your suspension. Driving on worn-out or bald tires can be unsafe, so instead of dealing with a flat tire, inspect your tires regularly before they're damaged. You can easily measure your tire treads at home by using a penny, place a penny in your tread, and use the diagram to determine if it's time for new tires.
It can be challenging to know when to service your brakes. That is why we recommend scheduling a brake service every six months. If you find it takes longer to come to a complete stop or hear a high pitched noise while braking, these are signs it may be time to service your brakes.
